Heard that BMW Motorrad ireland were saying that Maddocks are not dealers in any way, sales or servicing. They are not authorised to do warranty work either.
got an e-mail from duffys saying they are the only bmw dealer in dublin and leinster a few days ago.
got 1 from maddocks yesterday stating they are a bmw "specialist" and can still do warranty and servicing and supply bmw kit and gear as well
i was talking to tom a few days ago about a problem with a jacket and he said bring it back and he will sort it under warranty.
paddy is there a long time and gives a good service and as i posted before if he is not a sales dealer he can head to england or germany and but the best value in bikes he can find
I hope all the hype will die down and let Paddy and his team get on with their bisness. Same for Duffys. There must be room for 2 dealers and it must be good for us customers. JJH
Copy cats....but in all seriosness, the bullying that goes on from BMW to the dealerships is unbelievable, it wouldnt surprise me if Maddocks were the ones the ones to tell BMW to stick it
I wish them all the luck in the future as a fellow "BMW Specialist"
Whatever about sourcing bikes ,parts or clothing outside the country I don't understand how Maddocks can do warranty work if they are not official Irish BMW dealers.
If that were the case Platinium Mororcyles could do warranty work as well and I don't believe that is the case.
