Location
In my woods, halfway up Ben Aigan, Moray
Visited my local dealer with an aim to looking at a 1200GS TE either normal or Triple Black variant. He had 2 2017 Adventures in the showroom, and I am rather taken by the idea now of an Adventure (probably Triple Black).

He seemed a bit unsure about whether the ally top box would take a full face helmet so was wondering if anyone could tell me.

Also he happened to mention that Ride magazine last month had a feature on the Adventure around the NC500 route in Scotland. Does anyone happen to have a copy of that report they would be willing to scan and e-mail to me? It would be much appreciated.

Finally (for now) as I couldn't see the TB which is still in transit to the dealer, does anyone know if the seat is simply a different colour to the standard Adventure seat, or is it a different shape in the same way as the standard GS and TB variant?

Thanks

You don't need to worry about reading the article. Its an amazing bike. I had my first GSA LC in early 2015 and it was the best bike I have ever owned. Be ordering my next one in the next few weeks.
I like you went into my local dealer planning the standard GS TE but had one seat on the adventure and I was hooked. :thumb2

The LC version is a different bike

I've just bought a "used" 16 reg Adventure. Aside from the normal stuff it also has shift assist and a keyless ignition. It is SOOOO different from my 59 reg Adventure. It really is a different bike, which is something to consider if you are thinking of switching. The old bike is big, beefy, reliable, and rides a certain way. I guess the new one is the same, but it is so much more refined and balanced. I thought one of the best features of the old bike was it's balance. This one makes the old one seem rickety. Maybe after bashing it around a bit the performance will change, but I doubt it. I won't be doing that in any case. The idea of taking my touring bike off road is just stupid. Happy to take someone else's bike off road. Not mine.
