Magnetic Rubber flap .

When I saw who had posted I thought this was a post about some sort of marital aid :augie:blast

They all do that sir (well a lot do) and Garmin are aware of it and carry spares so ring the product support team at Garmin UK and they will send one out to you gratis. :thumb

Phoned up about the flap on my 550 mount, one appeared in the post 2 days later, slightly different material.

Just phoned them on 08082380000 and there's a new one in the post to me...

Arrived this morning..:thumb2

Lets see if it lasts a wee bit longer than the original..:nenau :)

Mine broke too

What do think if I call and ask if they will send one to Turkey?

If not I will get my brother to get one as mine broke this morning.

I love this forum for hassle free solution....search and fine answer....very cool

Many thanks for the info. Called them today and ask for a security screw as well (was lost after my last trip with the Zumo). Hopefully parts will arrive soon, after the last trip in the rain the mount shows some verdigris between the contacts :(
Maybe that's the reason why the battery was discharged recently :nenau
I'll better go cleaning the contacts now...

New magnetic flap and security screw arrived today, free of charge.

I've just smeared mine with some Honda Dielectric grease - my Honda dealer had to order it in for me - but highly recommended for ALL contact applications - especially connector blocks that are never seperated.

An hour spent smearing some on ALL the connectors you can find / get at will be time well spent.
