I've got a magnetic tank bag (H Gericke/Takai) and I wondered if anyone had advice as to best way to place this type of bag on a GS tank.
I've tried putting it right on top of tank (where else would you put it, I hear you ask) as far forward as possible or as far down/back close to the seat.
In both cases, there seems to be a gap on either side at the front of the bag, due to the shape of the GS tank, where air could get underneath the bag, lifting it....?
I've tried both ways at 90+ mph and it didn't seem to move much....am I just being paranoid?

Probably not! My last magnetic tank bag is somewhere on the M11. I never really liked using a tank bag and won't have another one.

Mind you, it must have been quite an entertaining sight as I tried to catch the bag as it flew into and past me at 90 mph - bike went everywhere.

I have the same bag

I have the same bag my friend. And I have travelling at over 100 with it not moving. (On my private airstrip off course;) )

Mine has some small straps that clip on if you are really worried. Did you not have the same.

Just plonk it on. I have an Oxford tankbag in lovely red.. suited my 1200 Bandit perfick.... looks naff on a manadarin GS... but it works and it's £80 still in use! Plus it failed to fall off or even move at the speeds you are talking about.....
