Magura handlebar wont fit hand protectors

Has anyone got a fix for this?

I have bought an R1150 GS Adv which has a Magura AX-line handlbar conversion. Because this bar is tapered it is too fat (supposedly) for the inside fitting of the standard BMW hand protector.

Has anyone else had this problem.

Alternatively has anyone found any good hand protectors (other than touratech).

if you are after a secondhand set of touratech hand protectors (acerbis) I have a set for sale, with spoilers, local in altrincham.

Thanks Colin - I'm going to check out timolgra's suggestion on youtube first (when not at work). Might just get back to you after the weekend and arrange to drop over as we are not far apart.
