Main beam quit..

I have a 2010 F800R with 2000 miles from new and main beam has now decided to quit for some strange reason. Also flasher function doesn’t work either. Bulb is fine as I switched it with the dip (same bulbs) but am nervous of opening switchgear in case springs etc go awol.. Bike is as new and kept indoors. Any suggestions greatly appreciated..

My guess would be a break in the wire around the headstock or anywhere it's subject to movement. The wires could be broken inside the outer insulation so not easily visible.
Time to put the continuity tester to work before you even consider taking switchgear apart.
