Ok, how the f*ck do you get this thing back on! Am I missing something? (1150 gs adv)

loop of strong wire on one end of the spring, something stout to pull it with and heave!

OR

I have a block and tackle set, loop of wire on the spring, other end on the block and tackle.
Block and tackle attached to something firm (Land Rover for me)
makes it easier

thats how I do it

Take the stand off, attach spring to frame and stand and use the stand as a lever to line up the pivot point bolts

as usual, somebody has an easier way of doing it than I do!
(good to know as I shall be removing mine later)
thanks

What you doing with a Land Rover in FNQ, thought everybody preferred Land Cruisers? Nice one for flying the flag out there.

I use a Rothenberg pipe bender braced against the back wheel as a lever, with a nylon rope round the 15mm guide and the other end on the spring.
It still needs two people though.

Does it have that flat plate between the spring and frame like my Rockster? Just stick a large screwdriver through the plate and lever it against something.....think I used the centre stand stop welded to the y-piece.
No need to wrestle with the thing.
