You'll love it, we are regulars, I go on the bike and we sometimes spend a week there in the summer with the kids.

Hi XBX

Sorry not seen this post as been asleep/busy getting ready for first guests this year, due in tomorrow!

Looking forward to meeting you both end March.

Thanks too Steve, hope to see you sometime this year if you get the chance for a visit. Bit wet and windy here at present but nothing too bad yet! :thumb2

Maison Laudiere

Having read all the previous posts referring to Maison Laudiere and Carole and Nigel, I find it pretty much impossible to find anything new to say!

Carole and Nigel greeted us like friends, and made our stay really enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for them, including a 'taxi' service to a restaurant one evening and back again later after our meal. Nigel spent time writing out some of the best local riding routes for us. We spent a couple of really enjoyable evenings with them with a glass of wine or two and swapping stories. The property is lovely, spotlessly clean, and in a beautiful location. In short, perfect.

If you are thinking of booking, stop thinking and do it, you are guaranteed a nice stay.

Thank you Nigel and Carole, we will be back. (And happy birthday to Carole for yesterday - hope you had a good 21st again!)

Thanks for your comments Andrew. Was great to meet you both and glad you enjoyed your stay/routes :thumb2

Carole had a nice 21st thanks, went for meal in Bagnoles.

Hope to meet you both again sometime.

Take care.

Cheers

Having just read the posts on this place which sounds wonderful, I have changed one of my bookings and booked with Nigel and Carol for a couple of nights in May as part of our Normandy bike trip.
Really looking forward to it.
This type of information is invaluable.
Thanks everyone for the info.

Hi Ian, Eula. Look forward to meeting you both too in May.

Now Barbarasullivan you have us scratching our heads, are you using a psudonim, physudnym, ....... another name? Are you NewYork in Lincs?

Cheers :beerjug:

Best B&B in the area

A big thumbs up to Carole and Nigel for their lovely B&B accommodation. :thumby:

Not only were they outside ready to greet us with the blocks of wood for the bike side stands at 10 o’clock at night, after, what was for us, a very long day due to a bike failure (a Honda ) on route. More importantly it belonged to SWMBO!!! :pullface:hide

It gets better than that. At 10 o’clock at night Carole started cooking for us and produced a smashing meal as we hadn’t eaten all day. I don’t know of many B&B’s that would consider that for their guesses. :thumb2

Two days later when a Suzuki had a stone caught in-between teeth on the gearbox cog which caused the chain to stretch, Nigel was out there with his tools and a tape measure resolving the problem and resetting the chain to the correct tension, and that was after going to the patisserie for fresh croissants. :clap

You are a lovely pair and we had a great time. 5 star recommendation from all our group (including those of us on BMW’s who didn’t have any bike problems :augie )

Hi Gary.

Thanks for your kind comments. We both thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all.

Just had another guest who needed to adjust his chain but as I am back in England this week Carole popped next door to borrow 27mm socket as I have it with me! Shaft drive is the way to go!!

Keep us posted on your challenge later this month.

Hope to see you all again sometime, maybe get a ride out with you on some of those twisties I mentioned.

All the best.

Cheers.

Nige and Carole

Just got home after stopping at Maison Laudiere.
We would recommend you staying here if you are travelling in this area.
Thanks Carole for your kind hospitality.
Ian & Eula

Hi Ian, Eula.

Thanks for the posting and sorry I missed you. I got back here on Monday night at midnight after parking under a bridge for 45 mins to wait for the bolt lightening to pass over and I was only 40 mins from home but not willing to risk it!!

Maybe see you sometime in the future

Cheers

Thanks again and another big thumbs up for Maison Laudiere

Another big thumbs up to Carole and Nigel and their B&B accommodation.

As previously they were outside ready to greet us with wooden side stand pucks for the bikes, seconds later a cold beer for my mate and water for myself.

Carole cooked a great evening meal and took our orders for breakfast.

After an incredibly good sleep, considering how hot and stormy it was we enjoyed a hearty Franglaise breakfast. Nigel wiped our bikes dry and bade us farewell.

We had a great time, fantastic accommodation and spotlessly clean.

Hope to see you in October and will be in touch when we have sorted out route and timings.

Steve

Thanks Steve, was great to see you both again.

It certainly was a bit on the hot and sticky side and still is, another 32 degrees today!

Be good to see yourself and James later in the year if you manage to get over to France.

Take it steady.

All the best.

:thumb

Next week will soon be here...........:D:D:D

Am I right in thinking there will be a GP while were there Nige?

i can feel a few beers coming on....:friday:friday

Hi Rob

I have replied to your PM, be great to see you both so look forward to hearing from you :beerjug:

Steve

I know, your arrival is fast approaching! You are correct there is a GP BUT.... and it is only a small 'but'.. we can only watch it on ITV4 the night after thanks to the Beeb not showing it anymore!! So the trick is not to look at any forums/on-line papers, etc. We have suffer the adverts but a small price to pay to watch the magician that is marquez :D

Look forward to seeing you all soon :thumb2
