making sense of Ghost Drift S

Can anyone please help or point me in the right direction with the following queries have been looking on net without success.

I have a Drift Ghost S the film recordings save on the mini SD card in duplicate MP4 Files example VID00001 and VID00001 thm the later (the one with the thm at the end) is smaller but the quality is rubbish the former is good no issue. Why is this?

what is the best software for editing ones clips as I have Windows Media Player and every time i try and pause a clip it stops and goes back to the start, is there something I can down load for free?

any help advice would be appreciated as always!

I would assume that the thm files are thumbnail files that's why they're smaller and lower quality. Some applications will use them as previews rather than taking time to read the original files.

I would point you in the direction of the Photography thread near the bottom of the forum home page. This is an RT section so you're only going to get a small number of RTers that know anything about video.

The best free video editing software comes free with a Macbook it's called i movie.

What camera did you use ?

Thanks for the nice comments chaps.
The camera was / is a GoPro Hero 3 bought off flea bay 5 days before we left! Which shows how easy it was to operate and get some half decent film.

Yes it was rather excellent!
The mountain pass was Grosglockner between Austria and Germany.
