making your glove conductive with the iPhone

In various posts I've seen the idea of using conductive thread sewn into a finger of the glove. On the Maplins website I've also seen electrically conductive silver paint. I know I might sound like a numpty but would this/could this work on a glove and has anyone tried it before I waste 8 beer tokens.

i thought the iphone had a capacitive not resistive screen ?

No, you need to have something that maintains contact with your skin and transfers it through to the outside of your glove. You can do it with thread, as I did here, but unless you can get the paint soaked all the way through the leather/liner then I doubt it would work reliably.

North Face do gloves that work with iPhones - I have a pair. Not suitable for motorcycling as they are very thin material but are quite useful as inners.

They have a sliver metallic tip on eack index finger.
