saturday 10th April I travelled down to Mallory Park to attend a track day organised by company called focused events I was down as third reserve as it was fully booked I rode down with my mate who was booked on he was on a cbr 600. We set off at 6
am typically it was p---ing it down, made good time and met up with mates who had taken there track bikes down by van.
the cost for the track day was 99 quid which i thought was good value ,as i was waiting to see if i was going to be able to book in i met i guy who was booked on but had decided not to ride ,he sold me his place for half price. i was booked in with the novices
we had 6 x 20 min sessions ,the track was wet for the 3 morning sessions which i enjoyed ,especially passing sports bikes,as the track dryed out the sports bikers got faster and started passing me. mallory park is a fairly small tight circuit with some excellant corners,as the day went on i got braver an was brakeing later and later for gerrards {the long right hand bend at the end of the stright} watching the intermediates and advanced groups it was incredible how fast they were.
I was the only one on a gs and a few people commented on how well it went ,top day
