Just a heads up for those interested in aircraft.

Seen a good few of the shows at Barton Aerodrome (now called City Airport and Heliport); One year a Vulcan turned up which, was impressive to say the least. A couple of accidents led to the show's cancellation IIRC. If they ask nicely i may even drag the Ikarus out of the hanger and give a little demo myself :D

“The Manchester Airshow Returns to City Airport & Heliport This Year!”
City Airport & Heliport are reviving the original “Manchester Airshow” which was last held at Barton Aerodrome in 1994.
The 2015 show will be held on Sunday 5th July 2015 and will see a number of flying displays return to the skies above Manchester. The show will comprise of over 10 display acts and will last over 3 hours!

NWMAS Ltd (North Wales Military Aviation Services Ltd) will showcase their Strikemaster Mk82A aircraft which has a custom built smoke system and is able to do a wide range of rolls and acrobatics in the air.

Steve Carver of Acrobatics 4 You have also confirmed that they will be taking part in the display with their Extra 260 aircraft, as have the“Old Buckers” – a pair of Jungman aircraft who carry out exciting close formation manoeuvers.
