Manor Cafe closing for winter

Noticed that the Manor Cafe will close after next weekend until February 2012.

Has become one of our favourite stop off's since it opened earlier this year, called in yesterday for the last time until next year.

Its very good, the owners have invested time and money to make it suitable for motorcyclists.

Yes it is, and reasonable prices.

Large area for parking bikes, helmet shelf inside, plenty of benches outside. Open less than a year and already popular.

Yes - it's very nice and avoids all the congestion trying to park in the middle of Leyburn.

Yes another positive answer on is it any good question. We use it regularly and have always found the service good and the staff friendly. Shame it is closing for a couple of months. If I had to find a fault, the coffee could do with being a bit stronger. That could just be me though.

Well, I went last Sunday

Gravel on the drive, was a bit nerveracking though - didn't expect that at a biker's haunt

Food was the usual biker's fare, all out of a chip fryer or a griddle

Cheap-ish and ok, but I would have liked more choices, like fresh soup and crusty bread, sandwiches (not toasties) and maybe some healthy eating options

Won't be going out of my way to return, but may drop in for a tea or coffee

Much prefer a proper Yorkshire tearoom cafe .....................on the whole
