As the title says, I was hoping to find the manual online and can't locate it anywhere.

Anyone know a link?

Count, your bike gets delivered this Saturday plus a Rider's Manual. Do you want to be an expert on setting up the display so that you can catch the dealer out when they try to explain it on hand over?

Firstly, thanks for the link:thumb2

I was curious as I prefer to have electronic versions and I can keep this on my iPhone/ipad and not carry the manual on the bike.

I've read through it and the setup seems pretty straightforward, the satnav should be easy so hopefully I'm ready to go soon.

I've downloaded Garmin to the Mac but it won't give me full maps until I connect the 660 and it knows I've paid them so no real planning until then.

I'm not sure the dealer will run through the whole setup. My other bikes don't have quite such an array of info/toys so this will be different.

Ducati kind of let you have the keys and then say "we won't watch you and put you under pressure as you pull off" and then wander away and leave you to it. I think they had one chap who decided to repeat the scene from Inbetweeners.

.

That's what I've done:thumb Always handy to have it available without taking the book everywhere, just keep it in the reading list and its available offline:beerjug:

search the adv rider forum, there is a link on there. Downloaded it the other day. It's 2.5MB and I'll send it to you if your mailbox will accept that size.

Haynes will soon be along

With a manual to tell you how to take off the valve caps so as you can put genuine BMW air in you tyres, and how to put fuel into it. For nearly everything else, they will suggest using your dealer.

Picked up the bike today and was impressed the manual was a sensible size. I have it on my phone/ipad now anyway but English only and pretty easy.

The manuals for the Nav IV on the other hand required significant areas of forestry to be cleared and had to be split on the panniers so as not to unbalance the bike on its first journey.

Garmin need to wise up, all I need is a link. If you want a paper copy then have a simple request form.

My TE is ready for pick-up next Thursday with most of the accessories, luggage crash bars etc., except for the alarm and the aux lights. They have the LED aux's in stock no switch:blast

They have no date yet for the alarm.:tears

Thanks for that:thumb Now bookmarked to the iPhone:beerjug:

On the iPhone/iPad if you visit the page and then click "open in iBooks" it will download the manual to your iBooks in the pdf section and be available off line as well. Useful if you are out of signal or simply don't want to run up data costs. I have most of the manuals I may need this way, makes life a little easier for more complex stuff like the NAV IV. Bear in mind for the NAV IV you should also grab the manual for the bike as the Garmin manual I don't think covers the scroll wheel integration yet.

I may be teaching you to suck eggs but at least you will have the egg_suckingv4.9.pdf downloaded.
