I have refined my routes for my Swiss Alps trip (leaving next Tuesday) and I've got a problem that has made me 'twitchy' about resolving it before I leave.

I have worked on my routes in BaseCamp using the latest map which is installed on the computer as well of the device (City Navigator Europe NTU 2017.1)

When I transferred them to the device they recalculated and I got a notification that they had been recalculated to match the installed map. The routes were now all over the place. It looks like they had used the original basic map installed on the device not the huge European map which is on the SD card.

I deleted them and re-transferred them this time selecting the destination as the SD card and they transferred without recalculation and looked correct on screen.

Having disconnected the device I went to look at my trips on the device only to find them not listed however I can select import and see them listed. At this stage I'm a bit concerned that they will be dragged over to the main device memory and possibly end up using the wrong map. That said in the operation of the GPS you only see the latest map and are not presented with a map selection as you do in BaseCamp.

Has anyone got experience of this?

Update:

I have tried the import of the trip on the Navigator V and having done this reconnected to BaseCamp. The routes look to have recalculated on the Nav V using the most recent map although it has introduced a number of flagged waypoints where as my original routes were set to 'not alert'. Still not 100% confident.

You can change the waypoints to "don't alert on arrival" on the device ( if you prefer), simply go into your route Apps - trip planner - desired route touch the three bars top LHS of screen - edit destinations then lightly touch flag change to shaping point? Yes
