Has anyone found an easy way to copy all the map tiles in Mapsource onto an SD card?

On a PC, is it possible to highlight all the tiles in on go (the equivalent of Cntrl A) and then hit the 'Send to' button?

Or do you really have click on each one individually and, when done, then hit the 'Send to' button?

If you zoom right out on the map then its very easy to hold down the left button and select them all in a jiffy :thumb

I've done that.. got all my maps on a SD card..

If I remember correctly.. zoom out in Mapsource to 1000 miles, (so all the maps can be seen).

Use the 'Map' tool, and select all of the maps from one corner to the next, you should see them highlight in yellow.

In the left pane you should see all the maps that you've selected and the size of them all.

Then (I think)... send to SD card, you may have to have the card in your GPS unit and connected to your PC..

Thanks for posting this question, I thought you knew everything, it has made me feel better at my own lack of knowledge.

Ah, that's how you do it. I thought there must be a feckin' easy way.

I offered to do it for someone as a favour, then fell at the first trying to do Cntrl A in a practice at home.

I spent a happy while clicking on each one.... And some are fecking small :blast

My thanks to the assorted Tossers :beerjug:

I think you are right that the card has to be in the device, as the maps are device specific. That I had anticipated.

UKGSer trumps Garmin

I asked Garmin's email based help desk the same question.

They have just replied that there is no way of doing it.

Oh well, they have proved helpful in the past.
