There is a thread on this in the general GPS section but most Zumo owners come directly here.
I just ordered a free upgrade (as I've only had my 550 for a month)
4-6 weeks for delivery though!!

Free Map Update
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you!

Your order number is XXXXXXXXXX. Please retain this order number for future reference.

Your order will be sent in 4-6 weeks

Can be ordered through 'my garmin' if you've registered your Zumo.

I think its $75 for upgrading earlier Zumo's.

Just tried this with my 550 bought this month.
Clicked on map updates and it says there are none available.
The date on the mapset I have is Aug 07.

When did you buy it? I'd imagine that it already has CN 2008.
August 2007 would suggest it's up to date (the previous mapset being CN9 (from around middle 2006).

CN 2008

I have just received my update DVD for CN v9 to CN 2008, when I try to install it I get the mesage that there is not enough space on my C: drive. there is no option to install it anywhere else like with the full CN v9. I have a D: drive where I like to install all my extra programs, anybody have ideas how to get round this b4 I go ahead and reinstall XP and all the crap i have on my computer?????

Move some of the stuff you currently have on c: to d: to free up installation space?

You should be able to uninstall the CN v9 maps. Go to:
[Start][Settings][Control Panel][Add or Remove Programs]
It should be in the list as: Garmin City Navigator Europe V9.

Alternatively (e.g. if you need v9 pre-installed before you can upgrade to v10) Elsinga wrote an article on how you can do this to move from v6 to v7 without the hard-drive space. It's a set of instructions to manually remove the V6 content. I presume that the theory still holds true to go from V9 to V10. The article is here.
