Mapsource / Quest questions

If I download maps from Mapsource on my PC, then any maps currently on the Quest are deleted and replaced with my new selection. Is there any way around this ?
i.e. I simply want to add 1 or 2 new map sections.

Is it possible to 'merge' waypoints (or routes) within Mapsource?
I have tried reading seperate .gdb or .mps files into Mapsource, but the new data simply replaces what I currently have loaded.

The only solution seems to be ...
- Read data from file into Mapsource
- Download to Quest
- Read more data into Mapsource
- Download to Quest
- Upload merged data from Quest

How do I know how much memory is free on the Quest ?

Simple answer is no. Just select all maps required.

Yes. Open the gdb file with the waypoints or routes that you want, select the appropriate tab, highlight them, right click and select copy (or just use CTRL C).

Now open the gdb file you want to merge with, select the appropriate tab, right click and select paste.

How do I know how much memory is free on the Quest ?

The only way I can think is by seeing how much memory (map wise) you've loaded and take that from 243. To see how much you have selected click the maps tab and it should show you at the bottom.

Now open the gdb file you want to merge with, select the appropriate tab, right click and select paste.

Perhaps surprisingly, you can open multiple instances of Mapsource, so you can open both files at the same time and cut and paste between the two.
