Mapsource question

When looking on the "find" tab & putting in the address it comes up "GBR (Channel islands)" on the country tab, I`ve never noticed that before & when putting places in like Preston it says no match

Any ideas or am I just doing it wrong?

Sounds strange to me. I don't even find a GBR entry under Country.

It comes up with the most recent entry used on my MapSource.

Just tried it (using Mapsource V6.8) but I do get the "GBR (Channel islands)" option on the country field, but if you leave it blank and just enter "Preston" under the "City" field it works fine.

In fact I don't remember ever using the "Country" field, but it must be there for a reason.

It's just there as a courtesy to users, if they want to impose a restriction on the search. For example, if you are searching for a town that has a fairly common name - you can put a value in the country field, and the search will only return results from that country. There is certainly no requirement to use it.

Cheers guys just tried putting in the destination without filling in the country & it`s found the destination ok
