I am having problems transferring Mapsource routes to my Zumo 550. I have planned out the route on Mapsource, ticked all the right boxes, connected the GPS to the computer, get all the right messages, click Send and get the message that the data has been sent successfully. However, when I try to find the new route on the Zumo, it isn't there, where has it gone?

Have you tried going into settings on the Zumo, then User data and then import data ?

That's where i bet you'll find the route you sent...

They all have to be imported from the depths of the Zumo's memory...

Just to add a further experience. I justy tried again and this time it seems to have reached the 550 because the message " New data" came up and when I checked, the new route name appeared asking if I would like to manage the data ( whatever that means) I said No and went back through to the main menu, touched on routes -- zippo, nowt.

But you do want to manage the data - click yes and then routes.

Many thanks, that seems to have done it. A bit counter-intuitive, especially the de-select all message. Should I be able to get to the import sequence from the manage data prompt? The handbook and the forum stickies are not clear on this and give the impression that it's a straight and simple process i.e. transfer the stuff and it's there.

Anyway, thanks for your help, another GPS mystery solved. Hope I get it right before I'm off on a big contininental trip next month!
