Mapsource transfer issue.

Having compiled a UK tour route covering just over 2000 miles I saved the route and then transfered it to my 2720, however when I access it on the 2720 the total route is showing to be a total 498 miles which gets us as far as southern Ireland.

Anybody have any possible solution please?

Chop the route into day long portions

It'll help the GPS from frying itself if you go off route a mile or two from the start.

If you've got the wrong mapping installed on your 2720 then the route will "fly" in straight lines from one waypoint to the next and so on, which could account for the 75% reduction in route length.
