Hello everyone!
In 2007, I join a group of riders there where going to Timbuktu, in that group it was 2 good friends, but as they say to me the nº of riders is already closed becose there´s already 5 bikes, so at the end I make the decision on going on my own, just 2 little problems to sorted 1º the days that I will need to complit the expedition, arround 30 days, to make 13.000km, and 2º was that my bike was already 16 years old and that ditn´t help much on my spectation on going solo, so I have to sell the old bike and buy an other a bit new, the old bike was a Honda Africa Twin xrv 750 year 1990.
The gs1150 is from a good friend.
During the time of preparation of paper work visas and carnet de passage, I was in contact with the lads and learning all the process, also I have make the decision on going on my own, I brouth Mauritania,Mali and Senegal road maps and also spend hours in google earth + internet foros similar to this one, the others were going to depart on the 1º of November and I have my first day off on the 5º Nov so they where going to be 4 days in front of my, but I was prepared mentally to by on my own, so no rush and just enjoing every minuted.
In Octuber I have a call from Javier one of the 2 brothers that where going on the company expedition and tell me that the rest of the lads have no problem for me to join the group, so I did, I met the rest of the members and change my departure day.
The team, on our way back.
The Gs are expesive in Spain, but you could buy Honda for reasonable price, here a GSA 2006 it will be arround 14.000€ or more the new GSA is 23.000€ with the panniers, so a BMW was out of my spectations and pocket.
Atlantic Coast of Morocco, pass TANTAN.
The roads in Morocco are good tarmac specially at the coast line, they breang fish from Daklar and El Ayune.
We sleep at the last petrol station at the Morroccan zone(El Barbas) you have rooms good food and meaby just meaby petrol, in our case there was not petrol left, and there where people waiting 2 days already for petrol, so we make the decision of refuel in Noadibou, just after the border pass.
There´s always a party on refuel.
People onlookers, specialy with GPS.
Well I have to do some work and I will do more later on, hope you enjoy and poeple can readed.
Thanks, and keep riding.
