I'm thinking of getting one as I'm sure its very good for cold/rain but what is it like if the weather is warm? They don't appear to have vents as such and being black I wonder if you'd over heat on a hot british day or whilst in europe.

Wore mine without the lining for the trip we took in July.. it got up to 30C + in Slovakia and I don't recall getting that hot ;)

They reckon the XCR is the most breathable type of Gore Tex so far... I've no reason yet to doubt it :thumb

I've had mine for a couple of years and worn it around Lake Como in Italy in 30-35 degree heat in perfect comfort.
Once you stop you warm up a bit, but then you would in shorts and a t-shirt.
I always wear Helly Hansen base layers with my suit, hot or cold, and I've never been uncomfortable.
It has never leaked either.

A lot of money, but excellent kit.

+2....Wore mine in Morocco last May - June and never felt like boil in bag, just comfortable.

Just the one pocket on the trousers that bug me!

Wore mine for a 6 day trip round red-hot Scotland in late June, every day was +25C and it was fine while on the go. Got a bit warm doing nowt though...
+1 for the suit:thumb2
