err.. 'Matt' doesn't reflect light.. looks like a 'semi' or 'satin' finish to me. If it was genuine matt black there wouldn't be any reflected highlights (even with 'flash' on the camera)

having a dull, lustreless, or roughened surface

That is pretty good, and better than the Halfords matt black I did my 12GS in as that got marked by fuel. I did have two types though, the first was old Sperex and seemed better and a flatter colour than the Simonez Sperex.

You should get capes and pretend you are Batman and Robin on the Batbike now.. all you need is a Robin.... may i suggest Civil for that as i've heard a few people say Robin is his middle name
