Few little nuggets of wisdom here which I found really useful as a numptie, I mean novice, so perhaps others in the same boat might too (or you may just wish to take the pish out of Mav).

Nice! Did I hear the ABS kick in...? Did you forget to deactivate it? I tend to do sometimes. Resulting in me looking like:

Had it on "Off-Road 1" so much less TC and almost no abs. You heard me sliding with the rear locked towards a junction at one point....

Aaaah! Fancy-pants 1200 systems. "In my days the R1200GS didn't have any TC, and the ABS either tried to kill you or save you, never in between..." And the F800GS has just got ABS ON or OFF.
