Maximising a web page

I know I'm lazy but since downloading the latest XP updates..my web pages open up in a small box and I have to click on the maximise corner box..this is with every website I visit. Brain fade has caused me to forget how to set the page to open up on maximise all the time.
May I ask you learned gentlemen how to set it up ( oh, its not Tools; folders options; view...tried that with complete failure )

Drag the box out to max, then close the browser....
Next time it'll open up big

Doesn't work..tried that as well . Microsoft has done something but I don't know what !!!

Just doing it with the web pages...all me porn is minimalised

Yup..tried that as well...but the damned PC doesn't remember the setting so each and every time I open a web page...back to the small size..then I have to press F11 or maximise box or drag it open....then back to square one again when the web page is closed..then...
