I don't recommend using the bikes - not because of security. Carrying the walking gear on the bike is OK but stashing the bike gear while walking is a bother - it can be got round. The problems start when you return to the bike hot and sweaty. Change into dry gear and stow the sweaty stuff - OK thats doable. Get on the bike and in winter you will now freeze no matter how you wrap up - all your pores are open.
Cumulatively - in winter - it is not worth the bother; use the car.

I'm taking a group walking on Sunday, Killorglin bridge @ 10.30, you are welcome but the group is composed of serious cyclists, they are fit.
For the other people of this site it's a bike event. Like my daughter they "don't do walking". As I have discovered when my fuel pump failed, 1200 GS owners sometimes have to walk! :(

Gerry.. Don't let the silence lull you into a false sence of security...
There's a gang (Myself, Jockser, Daithi, Kyle, Shinobi, Dakar Gal, BB1 etc) heading over to Wales for the Cambrian...
As soon as we get back you should brace yourself for the onslaught...

Have fun in Wales and when back bring it on, make my day.:mcgun

Sorry Gerry & all, I had to wait for a decision from a third party as to whether they would cover for me.
The answer is yes so basically I am available for any weekend from the beginning of November onwards. I would probably come over Friday to Monday via Fishguard and am up for pretty much anything as long as I get to see the reeks again.

Hotel, b&b, or camping (or a mixture), anything is fine by me, will fit in :thumb2

Steve.

FUG . .

. .if the mist be down, you won't be seeing much o the Reeks . .

Right, lets start all over again and take things nice and easy..........
The following four weekends are spoken for..........
That brings us to Nov 17th / 18th.

Well how's it going out there.
I'm afraid Nov 17th & 18th is not good for me nor is the 24th & 25th.
That brings us to Dec; 1st & 2nd still free but the Christmas stuff will be kicking in then.
How are we on a 2008 date?
If your going to be a crastinator you might as well be a pro crastinator.
