MCIA reg stats

Interesting

March 2012 - 229 GS's sold

April saw the launch of the triumph explorer of which 283 were sold, no telling how may GS's.

March 2013 - 391 GS's. possibly over 200 ish would have been new LC's - not a bad launch - would like to know how many actually hit the road. Not dealer bikes

Interesting stats. Seems to show a hefty decline in new registrations in almost every segment, and also mileage ridden, and far fewer test passes.

Weak economy, weak pound or other factors?

I plan to be the last man riding....:moped:

Weather this year might also have been a factor in depressing March sales.

Looks like Kawasaki and Suzuki need to make up some ground - crazily low figures compared to the other main brands.

Hopefully some newer and more competitive models should come through - but possibly unlikely.

It's only one months figures but if you look over a few years worth of statistics you can see the downward trend - other than 'adventure bikes' bike sales are not very good at all.

Hate burst your bubble but just look at 2010 and the stats show 225 for both GS & GSA so the new launch has yet to make much of difference.

No bubble to bust there but I'm thinking in that month they may have doubled the figure but only in the report ie only 225 actual bikes were registered not 450 in total. No other month sees the two versions split and if you follow the trend it seems about right.

2/10 40 sold
3/10 225 sold -was that the TC launch?
4/10 111 sold
5/10 137 sold

3/11 183 sold
3/12 229 sold
3/13 391 sold!!

I'd say a reasonable amount of the 391 were LC's. Customer and dealer reg bikes.
