Rode up on the GS for work in Inverness this week, and last night got out of work early enough for a bimble round the Loch Ness / Dores area, only dropped it once as well :)

Looking forward to knocking off tomorrow and picking a scenic route back down to Cheshire, maybe over the Cairngorms through Braemar as I'm not in a hurry.

Better night out than going down the pub :thumb2 Thanks Scotland when it's not lashing down your one of the greatest places around to ride. :)

Fire away please mate

See the one above for a route from Edinburgh to Carlisle.

However, before that....

A9 > Broxden Roundabout > A93 (Glasgow Road) > B9112 > B934 > A823 > A977 > A823 > (takes you past Knockill Race Circuit) > B914 > M90 > Forth Road Bridge.

I see Sir is now familiar with "The CorkScrew"!

Can I guess at the lower section being the area where the bike had a rest?

Nice photoies - thatnks for sharing.

how did you guess :D Cracking little bit of road though, just a small lowside, and got away with a scratch to the pannier and one of the head covers.

Cheers Schtum, I will check it out, I travel up here once or twice a month but normally have to bring a load of equipment that won't fit on the bike so end up in the car.

I will start dumping some waypoints in the garmin

FWIW, I regularly use both of those routes when I'm in the car as well as when I'm on the bike. However, I would only use to route from Edinburgh to Langholm if you're comfortable making progress on single track roads with passing places and with blind bends, gravel, pot holes and sheep. I love it, though.....:D
