Thanks in advance.

Gib.

Dobtless someone with more.... will be along shortly, but my view is that the slop is not excessive, based on my recollection of a K25.

Hi, just been and checked mine.Just over 30k on the clock, 2009 R1200GS, serviced regularly. Rear wheel off the ground and in first gear. I don't know whether it's "normal" but mine is exactly the same.

Just checked mine which is on 32k and the same. (y) But not as dirty. :comfort

Lol. Thanks guys. That puts my mind at rest.

Will look for the clunk elsewhere. This is my 3rd K25 and I don’t remember the last 2 doing it.

Will phone BM’s and see if it has had a clutch yet. If not I might open her up and check that next.

Thanks again.

Back to the trails.

Looked at mine earlier and it moves about the same amount as yours. Almost 143.000 miles on my clutch now. The shaft has done about 100.000 miles. And the final drive probably 70.000 since it's last rebuild by Mikeyboy.

WOW! Those are very impressive stats. These things are Tanks aren’t they?!

Based on your figures I have decided to just ride it now and ignore the clunk.

It rides perfectly. Maybe I will work on being a tad smoother on releasing it.

Thanks for all the input.

Don’t tell the lads over in the 1250 forum, god sake reading through some of the posts in there I’m glad I’ve stuck with the hexheads and your experience says it all 👍

I've analysed mine a bit whilst riding over the last few days, mine clunks a bit on occasion when letting the clutch out too.
I think it's just taking up the slack in the drive train 👍🏻

My old Hexheads all had plenty of drivetrain lash in the lower gears, it should get less as you go up the gearbox.
