Hi all,
Wasn't happy with the weedy bleedin horn that came with the bike (R1200GSA LC) as standard. Don't get me wrong, I didn't want to go down the master-blaster Naughtelous root but I did want something a little more... er, 'manly' when I pressed the button. so I got one of these;

Now I got this because it said...
"TIP FOR OWNERS OF BMW MOTORCYCLES WITH THE CAN BUS SYSTEM
When fitting the a Fiamm horn to these bikes there is no adverse effect on the Can-Bus system. There are two methods of connection:
1. Cut off the original horn connector and attach spade connectors to the two lose wires. These then connect onto the Fiamm horn
OR
2. Use our Hard wiring kit for BMW bikes with Can-Bus wiring."
So, having cut off the original horn and put this in its place, guess what?
There obviously is an adverse effect with the Can-Bus because it will sound for half a second and then... NOTHING!
So if anyone has any recommendations that dont involve (a) fitting a relay. (b) putting back the original and/or (c) just putting up with it. I'd appreciate your advice.
Cheers,
MM
