do any of you lads en France fancy meeting up for a ride out when it warms up a bit?

Depends where. I’m not in France but I can get down through shitty Belgium 🤣🤣🤣. pretty easily. Especially if in the northern part….
 
I'm about 135 miles SW of you near St Leonard de Noblat...I suspect for a straightforward meet up....our distances between would be somewhat of a hindrance...be good to plot on a map where people live though.
 
Not that far off and better biking roads down your way than here in the centre where it’s mostly flat
 
It's a thought. We're in Chinon, about 45km SW of Tours, although currently we're mostly in the UK for a few reasons. The distances might be an issue as I think we're all pretty spread out. A lunch meet somewhere convenient might be an idea?
 
We’re a bit further south about 45km east of Perigueux. We do make fairly frequent trips up to my brother’s place near Alençon.

I’m planning a bit of a get together to celebrate a milestone birthday but down in the south east (Route Napoleon and some alpine passes) at the end of May. Lots of other stuff planned so the year is filling up fast. Off in the camper in a few days for 6 weeks.
 
Given the size of France, would it not be easiest for one of you to organise a get together and invite the others and / or others from the forum?

Maybe Mad Hatter could set the ball rolling? All you need to do is find a hotel / suitably large (or small) Air B&B or campsite.

We manage it in the UK and we are not blessed with imagination.

PS See Sid’s thing for an (advanced) idea.

Like the suggestion Wapping but I’ve too much on my plate right now do arrange something on the scale of Sid’s bash, but if anyone fancies meeting up for a bite of lunch somewhere (this is France after all), I’d be happy to coordinate it …….

I'm South of Gueret and East of Limoges. 175km Sth of Bourges, 235km SW of Chinon. Somewhere in the middle'ish
Argenton sur Creuse
130km to Chinon
105km to Bourges
113km to me...

And either 190km to Perigeux or 290km to Alencon.....
 
I'm game...it really would need to be an overnighter to go that way...but I'm OK with camping.....hotel etc.

Sounds like a good choice. Now just need some warmer weather - it's been Baltic on the bike this week 🥶 Maybe a date from April or May onwards?
