Hi

Haven't used the Megamoto for a long time.

Low mileage bike.

It's been on an optimate trickle charger.

Turned it on, lights etc, came on. Pressed the starter, slight movement then everything went off.

Now when I turn it on there is nothing, no lights, nothing on the dash, dead to the world.

Battery is showing 13.5 volts on my voltmeter.

Any ideas what to do - or have I got an expensive dealer trip - nearest dealer about 100 miles.

Keep voltmeter on it and see what it says when you turn ignition on.......If it dips sharply (to anything under 9.5 or so) your battery is fubared.

Thanks

Checked it with the ignition on and it dipped to 3.5volst, so think my battery is knackered.

Need to find out what's the best replacement now.

Didn't think to check the battery under load.

The Battery on mine died just before the warranty expired. I had to have an OE replacement, which has been ok to date, due to the warranty terms. Please Post what battery you put on your Bike, just for reference, ta.

Put on a Yuasa YTX14bs, didn't want the hassle of fitting an Odyssey although I beleive they are really good batteries.
