Yes, it's on the left hand side (as you sit on the bike), behind the headlamp shell, you can use the same flylead that is available for the GS's. Mine is currently powering my heated grips
Whilst you're in there - I've also fitted an additional accessory socket into the headlamp shell, with a direct live feed, which I use for my GPS.
If not ... its not a problem.
The battery looks fairly easy to get to, just fit the supplied lead direct to the battery then tyrap it out of vision and harms way..
Yes, there's a standard BMW accessory socket on the right hand side near the battery, but as Digga said, it's easy enough to get to the battery terminals anyway.

Its a bloke that works at our place ... proper 'tosser' size.
He has this 'Sleep Apnea'(spl) thing .... thats the mask he has too sleep in. If he does'nt wear it he partially suffocates, a reflex action kicks in and he wakes up and starts breathing again.
Told him he'd be better off losing 5 stone instead..

Mate of mine had the same thing and on handfull of drugs, went on that liquid diet thing and lost 11 stone. Not on a single tablet any more and sleeping disorder gone! It took him months though but he kept with it and said the single most rewarding thing he has ever done for himself
Makes me ashamed to think I only need to lose over a stone about and struggle to do that.
