Megamoto Screen

I've been toying with the idea of getting this screen all winter.

Do I get one and enjoy the benefits of additional wind protection or do I keep the bike "pure"?

There is definitely something nice about the look of a naked bike, but for me the practicalities of the screen outweigh the look. The bike is so much easier to ride for long distance and at speed with it.

A few more questions Joe. Are you sure the Wunderlich screen is the same? Can't see any through-screen fixings for the brackets on their pic.

I'm pretty certain the Wunderlich screen is the same, the picture is slightly confusing though as the MM in the picture has Wunderlich triple clamps, with different mount points. The actual screen is definitely Isotta though.

Also, I'm fairly sure there are 2 heights available - yours being the low version and fixinbones being the high version?

Isotta do two heights, I'm not sure if Wunderlich offer both, I haven't checked. It's an optical illusion though, as fixinbones and mine are both the lower version. Looking at the bike from the front, the screen looks taller than when looking from the side.

:) :) :)

As joe said I too have the low version. I would definitely get it. You will wonder why you didnt get it months ago. As you Brits would say, "its a nice piece of kit" and well worth the money.

Anyone bought a wunderlich screen yet. Are they the same and are they tinted too. From wunderlich's pic they look clear:(...

I have that screen from Wunderlich and it's tinted. I didn't found better pictures:

I also bought there that pricey intake tube, blue filter and that wunderlich ecu tuner. Boy what a difference. Intake tube looks like made from carbon at least partly, so it's no wonder why it cost so much. I also ordered that boxer boost set with camshafts and those lighter cups, but there come wrong ones. I returned over month ago and just get mail, that the right ones will come after middle of may.

I found there only this size. Anyway mine looks taller that Joe's:

Or do i see it right?

Brackets are the same in mine too.

They look the same height to me. It always looks taller from the front than from the side.

Sounds interesting. Got any pics of the intake tube? Does the bike feel quicker?

Inside the tube it looks like carbon. Diameter of tube is much bigger. Throttle renponse is much better, but i put the same time that filter and "Performance controler":

It works like Techlusion (maybe it's made by them). It just add fuel nozzles opening time. The best effect is at mid range and "accelereting pump". My bike didn't had any surging before it, but now it runs very smooth and and accelerate much better. It drags almost like my HP2 Sport now till limiter. Only disadvantage is, that when i drive very slowly like almost at iddle and close throttle, it quit fuelling much sharper.

Now i need only those cams and new headers. Those italian ones was a bit pricey to me as asked 550€ shipped. I'm poor and every penny is needed.

Do you know what is actually different at Megamoto one with headers like these example:
Motorworks

Could i just cut somewhere a little bit and weld it? Who make those in UK? I would like to ask, if they could make one for Megamoto.

edit: The second one is made by Keihan. I will sent them email...

Hi Eka, could I trouble you the measure your wunderlich screen, I also think it appears higher or taller than Joe Bar's ?
If you could measure it from the bottom most point to the very highest point, in cms will be ok.
The lower style screen is what I am after.

I will try to remember measure it next wednesday. I'm in Finland now...

Actually i get those boxer boost cams also yesterday and will take those with me. Let's see how those effects. I don't know any dynos around there in Spain, so i have to trust my butt.

I'll wager it's the same height as mine, I keep telling you, it just looks so much taller from the front than it does from the side :blast

Hi again guys, have researched these screens from Wunderlich, from the info provided (Eka may be able to verify this on wednesday), the height of those are approx 450mm. Joe, yours is a little lower than that I think you said, something around 410mm. I suspect the taller riders among us would be ok/prefer the taller version, whilst I for one, would be happier with a lower screen.
Joe, are versions like yours still available ? Delivery takes roughly how long ?

Mine came from direct from Isotta via one of their UK distributors.

But as far as I know, this is the guy that's now dealing with most of their UK screen enquiries, I think he's supplied a few Megamoto ones to the US as well, so he is aware of them.

David Harris @ Cross Smithfield Ltd, I think they're based in North Derbyshire from memory, his number is 07788 424563.

Not dealt with them myself, but have heard good things about them from elsewhere.

The rear bag is a Wolfman Peak Tail Bag, I've got the Touratech luggage plate and it fits neatly onto that.
Joe,
any chance of a couple of pics of the tail bag sitting on the rear or the seat (ie where pillion would sit) from side and above.(thinking of buying one and mounting it there instead)
Also can you post a close up of the touratech luggage plate please.

THANKS...

Hi Eka, thanks for the confirmation on the size, I thought the wunderlich screens were higher ? I will have to investigate the other, lower versions as soon as I can.
