Cheers Mark and Merry Xmas to You didn't get as far as I wanted on the house but had a good trip, only lost half a day to the weather in a fortnight and had some bright clear days. The area I am building in is slightly seismic so the build incorporates a lot of reinforced concrete which added time to the build. I managed to get the shell up and the centre of the gables up to carry the main roof beams (the centre beams span 7.5m and are 6"x12" pine ) Back in january to get the roof on. Probably do with a hand spreading the outside in the spring if you are interested

I suppose it does look a little like the flood hotel we visited: but not for long

Firstly. Hope you all had a very happy Christmas.( and are now recovered).

Unfortunately Ive been laid up with flu(No!! not manflu) as has by beloved. We are reduced to a snivelling twosome feeling very sorry for ourselves. Have had to put off the sleigh run to Broseley and beyond untill we are n ot in danger of causing a pandemic. So..... I will not be joining you tomorrow.. Have a great ride, the weather at the moment is great though a cold wind .

Sorry to hear you and Mrs Pastyman have been unwell over Christmas Tony, but heres wishing you a happy new year and hope to meet up on a rideout again soon.

Thanks everyone for another great rideout heres some pics......

Piers Cafe was closed, and Nina & Brett were late.....

did I mention Nina & Brett were late? when they turned up it was back to my place for a warming cuper......

a stop for petrol on the way to Dartmoor

the Two Bridges Hotel was closed

So we went on to Postbridge

where we had a hearty meal at The East Dart Hotel

by the warming fire.....

I wonder if Nina & Brett were late home
