Erich Demant sent me some pictures of Cecilia Rojas's bike.

In her words:
I did not crash! I was driving along normally on a good dirt road. You will noticed it broke in 5 different places. Looking from the top, the tube coming from underneath the seat broke. Looking from the side you can see that on both sides the 'panels' going up to the front broke. Also the tubes coming from the top cracked

We had a hard time bending everything into place so we could weld it. I am also sending some pictures of what it looks like, after the weld job.

Do you think this will hold? I have my doubts. I think it would be better to replace the frame. What do you think?

those should hold but i would have is re-enforced when i was at home, have some pieces cut to match the bracing and sandwitch weld them. thats the first time i have seen that i'll have the check my r80 g/s cause i drive like a mad man off road even jumped mine. i was going to have mine re-enforced, ready for wp forks, so keep me posted on what else you do.

Slap for the scouse get on the red phone:mcgun

That looks like it was welded up from new with loads of stress on the tubes.

It depends on how long it has to last on this trip.I've seen welds far worse than that hold steel together for a good while.

How the heck did you notice that whilst riding?

Hope you disconected the battery when welding it up. Un like the two dude's who fried their ABS system LOL.

Safe riding Karl.
