There a bit uggerrly :o arn't they?
And talk about stickie outie

Doesn't anyone make panniers to fit the profile of these bikes?? It can't be that hard and think of the extra space you would have if they were 2 inches narrower at the outside edge but profiled to fit the bike like the standard ones on the 1200 and the 650. You could even use the standard mounting system too :)

They stick out 7 cm more than the BMW system panniers thats all. so not much different, and all the internal space is usable
38 litre on lhs and 45 on rhs

I put 45 lt on both sides and I find them fine. When I'm 2up and loaded with all my gear I don't do a lot of tight filtering anyway. I wanted max. capacity.

The quality and workmanship is exceptional and worth the money IMHO.

Re. Aesthetics? I reckon if you want to attach a metal box to the side of ANY bike it'll look a bit rough. As my bike isn't an R1 for sun. runs but a bit of an all rounder I can live with the lack of Kudos - in fact, I think I'm growing to like it.
