Has anyone got a mule topbox fitted to 1150 GSA.
If so any chance of a picture of the rack fitted to bike, as I'm sure they sent me the wrong one.
I may be really stupid, but the holes don't seem to line up with anything :spitfire

Don't have the top box, but I do have the panniers. None of the holes lined up on those either, but they were the right ones apparantly. Eventually Metal Mule told me to bend the brackets in a vice to make them line up. :eek
Sounds like their quality control hasn't improved much.

That explains the problems I had fitting a rear rack to swmbo,s GS650 :mmmm

As I said unless I am being totally stupid, the holes are not even within 3 inches of anything, and as it sits flat there is nothing to bend :nenau

I've got the paniers on my 1150 GSA, but not the top box. The paniers are good kit and I would highly recommend them, but the frames did take a fair amount of 'persuading' to fit. I think you should give Paul a ring at MM to see what he can suggest - he's very helpful. :thumb

Thanks David,

I have been away all week on a course, did try to phone this afternoon, but only got the answer machine.

I will take some pictures tommorow and send them to him via e mail for advice.

I have got the full compliment of Mules and think they are the 'dogs' even if I had to re-mortgage my house to buy them.

Regards,

Davie

As stated above, great boxes but MM really need to get a decent jig sorted asap. Neither my 1100 or 1200 frames were a straight forward fit. Come on MM, it's not rocket science :mmmm

Has anyone noticed any rust along the top of the hinges of the MM panniers? I used mine on a two week trip and noticed some slight signs of it. A bit worried what they will be like after a few months of winter commuting? :nenau

Same here re the vice. I was told by MM that it was a BM problem. Apparently BM build all their bikes differently

On a positive note Paul sent me out a full 'bolt and nut' kit as I needed to replace one bolt due to fitting problems, and of course once they are fitted they are great boxes :)
