Just to give the other perspective I too ordered panniers from Metal Mule on the 18th of April for my F650GS and was quoted a delivery date of May 20th. As the date got neared I thought i would call to see how things were going and was told there would be a weeks delay. After several more phone calls over the following weeks the panniers finally arrived on June 15th. Apparently there had been a problem with getting parts of the racks back from the powder coaters and in the end I was supplied with parts from the show bike.
Although the service was great when I called to ask questions I am slightly dissapointed with not being informed of delays by Metal Mule as the only time I found out about any delays was when I called them.

Sounds like this was around the same time that Paul and Anne had their baby mikestatt I think you were just the victim of bad timing. I've always had great service from them.
