Metal mules on a R80gs

Hi I have a metal mule top box and side pannier rack for my R80gs I have a top box allready.
I want to get some panniers for the side racks could I use two 38 litre panniers or would I need a smaller pannier for the exhaust side.
Any one got any pictures of metal mules fitted to a R80gs.

You will be best with the smaller pannier for the exhaust side.
I haven't saved any pics of the set up I tried out.

However ,I DO have the 31 & 38litre panniers for you.

I think the reasons for having a smaller pannier on the exhaust side are more aesthetic than practical. Isn't it better to load the bike more evenly and have the increased capacity?

It is always good to load the boxes evenly, as if they are significantly out when reasonably full it can set up a bit of a wobble at highish speeds.

Isn't to hard to do, just make a little see saw out of timber that will hold the boxes and replicates the placement of the boxes relative to the wheel , then pack the boxes so that they are pretty close to even.

We are talking full loading for trips, major imbalances and high speed here, a few kilos on the run back from the supermarket isn't going to make much difference.

Probably should have said having the same size boxes makes it easier to load the bike evenly or something like that....

Ah, but if its a paralever the exhaust balances the drive so back to square one.
Mine are both the same size and are not MM stuff
