Metal Panniers

Yet ANOTHER question for you wonderful folks!

So far you have sorted me a tent, sleeping mat and a puncture repair kit.

Now.....I fancy putting metal panniers on my 12SE, but i want removable one really. There the the BMW ones, VERNS, Metal Mule, TT, just to name a few, but are they all EASILY removable.
Let the debate begin!

I have a set of ARD Cases. very easy & quick

TT look nice, and removable in around a minute each

Verns. They are easily removable. 8 bolts. Not quick removable though.

Having said that I've crashed mine one (or twice) with Verns on and they've stood up well.

Metal Mule. Remove in seconds, stand up to mutiple crashes and being nerfed off by a car.

Had a good long chat to the guy who makes them at Ripley, who showed me how to adjust the mounting blocks now the boxes were a little bent!

They have a very big silicone seal round the lid to ensure they keep the weather out, which still works on mine despite the bends.

Couple of ex-army steel ammo boxes, painted white and bungeed onto the sides of the pillion seat should improve the look of your old nail no-end!
