metric or imperial

ok i kow this i probobly a really dumb question but would a 25 year old suzuki dr 600 have metric or imperial bolts?

But some of the bolts could be Metric fine.......smaller/finer pitch than standard.

I thought the Japanese avoided using 13mm, none of my jap bikes have ever needed that size.

6mm bolt - 10mm socket
8mm bolt - 12mm socket

generally that is right, but they do occasionally come with a 12mm head.

japanese used to like using them with flanged head IIRC. i don't do much with jap stuff these days.
