Hi Chaps,

The TKC 80's on my steed (84 r80G/S) are just about worn out. I was thinking of trying the OEM fitment of Enduro 1 and 2's (any thoughts or experience you have would be appreciated) and seem to recollect that someone on this 'ere fine forum was able to supply them* - any pointers please - I did do a search but couldn't seem to turn up the info.

I ride 99% on the road these days so knobblies not really ness!

*Or did I just dream that up in a late night single malt fuddle?

Cheers

I always found the Enduro 1 & 2 to be a great all rounder. After all they were made for the bike. Nice and cheap as well - should be around £110 for the pair. These guys sell them but I'm not sure of their price http://www.cambriantyres.co.uk/metzeler/enduro-1-enduro-2/ here as well http://www.oponeo.co.uk/moto-tyre-f...UckxTUElkcwUCNjis+8yJ2xD0ozDHMFee8t6sIrEzWw==

they look good on the Mono as well

I bought some off Proff. Just waiting for my TKC's to wear down enough to justify swapping them.

Can't wait to try them. They look great.

Thanks all, very helpful.

I have tried PM'ing Proff but seems to have vanished :nenau anone know if hes on a trip or something?

James sherlocks get them in every two years when they are made (apparently they are only made every two years or some thing like that). I wish we could get them in North America alas I'll probably put on a pair of Mitas or TCKs.

Ordered - But not from Proff sadly. Had to make a quick decision for various reasons, so got them from Openeo.co.uk. Apparently will be here within the next 3-5 days, cost £116 free delivery. Will fit them myself so not to bad on cost:thumb2

I hope I like em!

I had Enduro's on my mono and didn't like them. I have been using Distanzia's for years. However the new TKC70 come in mono sizes so I am going to try them next.

However, a lot of personal preference for tyres is all in the mind.

Yes I was thinking about those as well, but the enduros are cheaper, (a hell of a lot cheaper!!) and i've been wanting to try then for years, just to see. Who knows, maybe I will regret it, but you never know till yer try!

I reckon them 70's will be pretty good tho.

I think you will be pleasently surprised - mine now fitted and (as you would expect given the profile of them) they are rather more sure footed on the tarmac then the completly shot TKC's ive just removeed- excellent grip, great lean angles, track well, feel good and planted. Near silent running as well. No iddea about wet weather performance yet (only a matter of time of course) but whats not to like. Good price as well.

Thanks for the update. I just need to wear out my TKC's. I reckon I'll have that done by June.
