Advice needed!

Need a new set of tyres...

I have it down to either Metzeler Tourance Next or Dunlop Trailsmarts.

On a 2015 GS and just going in for the 11,000 km service.

Note, I am going on a 4 week tour of Italy and I'll have a pillion for most of it!

Best all round for grip dry and wet, and longevity?

Cheers

Running the latest Dunlop Trail Smarts and very pleased with them. Loads of grip and excellent in the wet. Track very well and holds a perfect line and better than the PR4 . Basically similar to the road smart2 which after trying most makes over the last 2+years on my LC I found the best . Thought I`d try these as the roads are getting worse and need something that is good on loose gravelly tarmac. So far so good. Don't do off road as I have other bikes for that.

I'm a tart when it comes to tyres. Always want to try the latest. However, now on my third set of Trailsmarts. They've been excellent all round. Average mileage but instill lots of confidence. They do what it says on the tin.:thumb

Recently ran a set of the new trail smarts, great at first but front was worn out in 4500 miles. Rear tyre had plenty of life left but front made the handling woeful. Back to the Next's. Could have been a bad front tyre however.

Got a good deal in the Next's...
€245 fitted...
Bout £170... Happy with that.

Dunlops next time round
