Mic set up for System 6 Helmet

Hi.

Sorry for the newbie question here - could not find the answer to this one !

I have just fitted a Starcom Digital set up on my GS and have the Starcom wired headset.

I use a BMW System 6 helmet and I'm not too impressed with having to wire the mcrophone around the hinge.

What I really need is a boom mic ( wired, not Bluetooth ) which clamps to the helmet, and has a 3.5mm jack for wired earpieces - no need for speakers.

Anyone know of such a set up ?

Get them from Starcom,you could have ordered it instead of the standard fitting.

I was sold this as a package at one of the bike shows and the guy on the stand said it would be fine - " just route the wire around the hinge ". I'm not too happy about the way that routes, though I understand lots of people have done it that way.

I spotted the item you sent details on but wondered if there was something that clips onto the helmet ( like the Scala Bluetooth items ) but wired, not Bluetooth. I think that would be a neater solution.

I have the boom mike fitted to my Schuberth C3 and it tucks into the lining.I can slide it back and forth so its not always in contact with my lips when i`m not using it.
