I've tried them!
Anakee front is the best tyre i've tried so far, for wet, dry, feel and wear rate, all inspire confidence. Was happy with the rear's grip performance and handling but the wear rate was 3500 miles, i used to get 5-6K from a Tourance. Having said that, my rear shock is f*#ked and has since gone through an Avon Distanzia in 3K and the current Tourance in 3-4K. Not overly impressed with the Avon's front or rear!
Having received a request from Ride about the Michellin's, i sent a reply saying i would rate them the best tyre for the GS but only if they brought the current price down to compete with the , just under, £150 delivered price of the Metzeler. £185 is too expensive!
Going to try TKC's next but at present would run with an Anakee front and Tourance rear as a good compromise and, before anyone jumps in, mixing the makes does not affect the handling in any way, they're both radials and they're both designed to run on a GS so, no problemmo! Oh, and i'm not planning on mixing the TKC's with the road rubber if anyone feels in a thread sabotage mood!
