Hi Guys
just ordered a set of Michelin PR3 for my R1200GS from mytyres.co.uk
these were by far the best prices I could find
Front 110/80 19 59v TL Trail £87.50 inc vat & delivery
Rear 150/70 17 69v TL trail £101.90 inc vat & delivery
total cost £189.40
I know the Michelin PR4 is out in mid Jan but I cant wait until then

A good price if you can get them fitted at a reasonable cost & convenience.

FYI, Protyre in Gloucester have just quoted me £140 for a rear PR3, which is a ride in, ride out price. Whether the additional £38 is value for money for the convenience I'll let the reader decide.

But most feedback posts are from moaners so they might not be that bad. My local garage is not especially cheap for bike tyres but fits and balances owner supplied tyres for £15 each.

Ive just checked the reviews have you gone for the trail version PR3
or the road touring version?

I have the road version (rear tyre-trail version on the front) and although the rear is worn on the edges beyond the wear bars in 4,000 miles I would fit them again. Our barman at the hotel rides a V Strom and has the trail version. Tyre life looks better-I think he will get a couple of thousand Kms more. Confidence levels are high, I'm not good enough to test ultimate grip but I do have fun on our roads. Can't comment on wet grip because I was only caught out in the rain twice all summer-a total of around 200 of the 4,000 miles.

I use the local Protyre in Enfield and can't speak highly enough of the bloke in the tyre bay. The car side isn't too bad either.

Just had PR3s fitted to loose wheels for £250. Not what I call a bargain but my tyre fitting experience is not good, far too much swearing involved. Good service though, from Bike Treads in Swindon, been using them for years and they are usually more competitive than this.

Had the PR3s fitted by NOG whilst having new rear esa shock changed under warranty
Bike is now transformed, new shock has obviously helped
Runs super smooth on road and tyres are giving me a very confident/safe feel
Obviously I can’t try them out to my limits due to the current weather conditions but very happy so far
