Just shows how personal tyre choices are . . .
I really don't like the Anakee 3 - so much so I've complained to BMW Motorrad and the dealer who supplied my LC GS with them fitted - with the usual neutral response - we have your money sir - so don't really give a....
Have tried most other tyres on previous GSs and not had a problem - but these - I've had several moments in wet and damp condition - with the front end stepping out - complete traction loss on the rear end in the wet and on dusty (dry) surfaces at relatively slight lean angles
The chicken strip has never been wider!
They are reasonably good on gravelly/mossy surfaces but tend to track ruts in the tarmac more than other tyres I've had
Personally I liked the Road and Trail Attack tyres - but that was on series 3 GS
I've found tyre pressure more critical in respect of the above behaviours, and like others have noticed a whirring sound at certain speeds - thought it was a noisy transmission!
If any of you have had handling issues as I have because of Anakee 3 fitment on supply please contact customer service at BM UK as they will only act if enough complaints are logged

I dont know if its bike geometry or profile on the LC size tyres but the chicken strips on anakee3 are non existent on my 2012 GSA. Agree about the noise it would put me off if all i did was motorway miles.
Flog them if youre not happy you should get a reasonable price.
