microsoft office outlook 2007

hi i have been given a pc all working ok it has office 2007 it will add a gmail email account but it wont add either of my hotmail accounts and i cant work out why ! im not great on computers better with oil on my hands to be honest it will sign in fine from internet explorer so passwords must be right any ideas welcome

you need to decide how you want to collect / manage email from these other accounts?

IMAP or POP3 - google them for explination.

IMAP (mail stays in cloud an "replicated copy" on your machine.

POP3 (mail comes from cloud and ends up on your machine).

Once you have decided which way you want todo - lookup either IMAP or POP3 settings on google which will then let you set the accounts in Outlook.
